We were asked if a few images of dogs, in our weddings, could be used in a wedding book. We talk about the furry creatures a lot because we love them so much. After many emails sending over images we received the book today. The book Wedding Dogs: A Celebration in Holy Muttrimoney, you can buy it here on Amazon . People magazine also did a feature on the book , pretty cool.
When we called our clients to make sure it was ok if the images were used. We found out that Brutes had passed away. I was sad, but just like the images of people we have taken I was proud that we had taken some beautiful images for them to remember their faithful friend by. I also thought how cool it would be to have your dogs, in a published book. Thank you to Ryan and Lindsay for taking the time to be interviewed for the book.
Throughout the year Andy & I take many portraits of families, children and sometimes dogs. In this case, the dog is our own…She’s eight years old and full of personality! The weather has been so nice here in Colorado we decided to take her out and let her be a model for an afternoon. This particular session required almost an entire bag of carrots but I think we pulled off a few cute shots!
Angie and I love dogs. Dogs, have so many great qualities. The love they share every day, is something we all can aspire to. I saw this quote and loved, it and wanted to share.

You might see a lot of pictures of dogs on our site…. So, it’s no surprise we get a lot of dog lovers hiring us to photograph their weddings. We have a dog ourselves, a jack russell….she is 8 and been with us since we were married. They are a part of your family and for many couples this means being in the wedding. We have seen many dogs walk up the aisle with the bride, with the groom or even during parts of the ceremony with the rings tied to their collar. We have seen dogs at weddings dressed up and some who just hang out with us during picture time. On a day that is all about love, these dogs have more lipstick stains on their heads than most days……
