Here are some of our favorite shots from Joel & Mandy’s wedding at the end of July! They got married at the Cherry Creek Yacht Club and after a beautiful, sunny wedding on the deck road away in their boat across the lake. We were able to spend lots of time around the water and with the boat taking pictures. This was the first time we had shot at this venue and we had a great time exploring it’s possibilities!
They had a big bridal party full of close friends from high school. They went to the same high school Andy & I did just different years, so it was fun for us to see some people we knew. Although they didn’t run with a full on boat/water theme, to tie it all together they even had key chains for boat keys with their name and wedding date on them.

Here are a few shots from a wedding we did at the end of July! Their ceremony was at the beautiful Trinity United Methodist Church downtown and their reception was at The Oxford Hotel nearby. The church as this great old mirror in one of the bride’s getting rooms that is great for pictures. There are a lot of great places around the church to get pictures especially with the great balcony they have their. Mike likes architecture and has always been a fan of this church and wanted to get married there! A new trend is to have little individual cakes that when put together on platforms looks like a big cake. It is a really unique idea and something that they had at this wedding! In addition they had a small cake with some pictures of their dogs on it! I always love the little personal touches people add to their weddings. This group had so much fun dancing, even especially to Thriller! I don’t think anyone wanted the day to end!

Andy & I had a chance to speak at last Wednesday’s PUG meeting (Denver Pictage User Group) here in Denver and it was a lot of fun! We spoke about what it’s like to work as a husband and wife team in our wedding photography business and how the work is divided out. We also shared a slide show with some of work from the year so far! Thanks to all the photographers who showed their support and joined us the other night and to Katie Vanburen who asked us to speak!
