We just got our scores from WPPI and apparently we missed 2 of our prints hanging. So instead of 6 we actually got 8 awards at the WPPI 16×20 awards of excellence competition. Thank you to all of you who have sent congratulations and cheered us on.
Well…. the bad news is we didn’t get international print of the year. The good news is we came home with 6 more awards, giving us a total together of about 23! We are always honored to see our prints hanging with the best wedding photographers in the world. I am really proud of Angie! It is so cool both Angie and I for the last 3 sets of entries have gotten awards. This year WPPI had over 2700 print entries! Going through and looking at all of these awesome award winning prints is one of our favorite parts of the convention! It’s really inspiring! Here are the are 6 prints that we had hanging in Bally’s in Las Vegas.

PHOTOGRAPHERS INTERNATIONAL (WPPI) 2008 Awards of Excellence 16×20 Print Competition.
Designed to recognize outstanding photographers, the judging was held in Las Vegas, NV on March 15
and 16, 2008.

Wood competed against an international field of photographers to win such honors.
The Awards of Excellence 16×20 Print Competition awards are presented each year at the largest trade
show, educational platform and convention in the United States for professional photographers. The

Ryan and Michelle had a fun wedding full of personality! Their bridesmaids wore black dresses with hot pink sashes and fun hot pink shoes! The bride herself even had hot pink and white polka dot shoes! They used giant boxes with different pictures of themselves as centerpieces and black candleabras. They had beautiful white draping throughout the reception with pink lighting shooting up. During dinner they even had a 10 piece mariachi band!

We are off to WPPI ( Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) in Las Vegas! We will be checking email and messages but may be a little slower getting back to you. The first place Andy received in the 8×10 competion is up for international print of the year! They only give 4 of these out…..so wish him luck…….
