We opened our August Rangefinder a few days ago to see our picture. It’s not a huge picture but more of what it represents. When Angie and I started we set goals for ourselves and having our picture in the magazine and being asked to speak at WPPI was one of them. Our picture is next to some of the best wedding photographers in the world. People that we admire and are honored to be speaking with.
We are in the bottom right corner
While reading through it I found that one of the letters was actually our 1st place from the 8×10 comp in 2007. It’s the P in “competition”
This was our first wedding with Kilts! The Kilt pattern and colors were actually from Scott’s heritage. They did everything traditional with the outfits including the sword in the socks. We love to see so much personality in a wedding and all of the unique things that a couple plans. Liz was such a calm but fun bride; very laid back and let us do whatever we wanted to get some beautiful and creative photography on their wedding day. Thank you guys for letting us be a part of your day; we had a blast!
Scott and Liz had beautiful weather for their wedding at Hudson Gardens in Littleton. Our studio is right next to this venue in littleton. As you can see everything was green and the water was still. It really made for some beautiful photo’s. There ceremony was fun and full of laughter. Scott and Liz really do have some great family and friends. I will post more later this week. We hope you enjoy these.
As many of you know we teach a few classes at Arapahoe. The one for the summer session will be starting tonight.
Class ACC 1024M01 Monday 7-9 4-18
For the digital or SLR camera user who already knows the basics of aperture, shutter, exposures and can change through different camera modes. Discover how to take great pictures of people in action or still life portraits. Discover the proper techniques of lighting, composition, and lenses.
If you haven’t signed up but want to be in the class you can just show up and pay later.
P.S I have had a few phone calls from pro’s wanting to know if this class would be beneficial. Most of what will be covered is for those people just starting out with portraits, and most likely will be to basic for you guys.
