Its not really over yet but we are close enough we wanted to say thank you to all of our clients for making this year special. Its been our busiest year since we started with 32 weddings all over Colorado, Mexico and Alaska. We love destination weddings and these were especially fun with our amazing destination wedding couples! In Mexico we loved working on the beach and had a crazy jungle adventure with our couple the next day. We were in Anchorage, Alaska before that with another amazing couple who were married at the zoo. While we were there it was only dark a few hours a day so we were still taking pictures of their family after the wedding around 11pm. After the wedding the couple took us to see more of Alaska and on an amazing salmon fishing trip. We still have so much to share about all of our weddings this year, including lots of wedding photography….so stayed tuned!
From a professional standpoint it was just as busy but successful. We had won The Channel 7 Alist Denver’s Best Wedding Photographers for 2008/2009. this was such an honor because it is decided by the public voters. We had 9 honorable mentions in the Lucy Awards, 24 awards of excellence from WPPI, an article in Rangefinder magazine, a small talk at the WHCC booth as well as teaching a master class in las vegas. Andy earned from the society of photographic excellence and achievement: both the accolade of photographic mastery as well as the accolade of outstanding photographic achievement. He will be receiving these at the WPPI 2010 and I am so excited for him. We also were recently were named in the Top 350 wedding photographers in the world, by best of wedding photography.
We want to thank all of our family and friends for their continued support, without them we wouldn’t be who we are! We also want to thank our wonderful clients for all of their patience through this year and sharing their lives with us!
As we say goodbye to 2009 we are welcoming 2010 with a platform class at WPPI in Las Vegas, new sponsors including Flosites, Photography Merchant Systems and WHCC, a new wedding season already half booked in new destinations with all new wedding photography and a new line up of workshops to be revealed soon! We will be teaching here in Colorado and all over the country; photographers let us know if you are interested in having us come your way! We look forward to the new year and to sharing the love our lives, photography!
Wanted to share a great picture of two dogs dressed up as a bride and groom. This is from the wedding I am currently working on and I just had to share it with you guys. We have had a lot of dogs over the years in weddings, because lets be honest they are part of our families. Wish we would have had our dog faith when we got married participate in the wedding. We have talked about this before but we are a dog friendly studio and you are always welcome to bring your dogs along when you come to pick up product or to consultations.

I wanted to share a beautiful shot. It reminds me of some of the elegant Black and White movies of the 40′s and 50′s. The shot was taken at the beautiful wedding venue in Breckenridge Colorado, Ten Mile Station. Of course we will post more from this wedding as soon as we get everyone’s photographs done in time for Christmas.

You just have to love kids at weddings. We make blog posts like this a lot because they capture our hearts when they do all the cute stuff they do at weddings. Whether its a smile or laugh its just plain cute. This is a photograph from a wedding in Estes Park Colorado. I think the little girls smile is just contagious. What do you think?
