Devils Thumb Ranch Wedding Photographers

Wednesday, October 14, 2009 Posted in Colorado Wedding Photographer

They used a variety of colors in their wedding with blue and brown as their anchor. Their bridesmaids wore cute little blue dresses that matched the blue shawl Melisa wore to keep warm.

She used daisies, tulips and roses in purples, reds, pinks and oranges that looked like hand picked wild flowers from Pick Me. Her cake from Kelly Kakes was brown with cute little blue and yellow flowers throughout matching her overall theme.

Melisa’s father even made a hanging tea light candle structure that was hung from the ceiling above the cake and lit during the ceremony and reception. Some of their family even surprised them with different colored glass ornaments hanging on the windows. They were so pretty and were a perfect touch to what Melisa had already done. We had a great time with these guys and were lucky to be a part of such a small yet romantic wedding!

Winter Park Wedding Photographers ( Devils Thumb Ranch)

Wednesday, October 14, 2009 Posted in colorado wedding photography

Jason and Melisa were married up in Winter Park at Devil’s Thumb Ranch in the snow! This is such a great venue up in the mountains with lots of rustic charm. They have many different places for weddings including outside amongst the beautiful fields of flowers and mountains. Because of the cold and the snow Jason and Melisa chose inside and it couldn’t of been more beautiful. Devil’s Thumb has a unique little building that has 360 degrees of windows with spectacular views!
They had a small wedding with only a few close friends and family.

As you will see from the pictures even the sky was painted with blues and pinks this day; it was amazing!

Flat Stanley

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 Posted in Colorado Wedding Photographer

Angie’s little cousin recently sent us a drawing of little boy named Stanley.  I guess this is project kids in school have been doing based off of a book Flat Stanley.  Apparently in this story after this boy is flattened he is sent on different trips and he comes home with pictures, postcards and gifts.  Her cousin’s assignment was to send her personally colored Stanley somewhere and see what he came home with.  Angie and I have had a lot of fun taking Stanley with us places and taking his picture!  We even had some friends who got in on the action with some great ideas!

Please vote on where we should take stanley next. You can even add your idea. Be G with your reponses:)

Here are the pictures we have taken so far…..

1

Stanley can be like find waldo.  He is in the bottom left corner by the Broncos Tail

3Stanley was trying to go green and decided to hitch a ride home

4Stanley wanted a picture with Union Station behind him so we went and stood in the middle of the street for this shot.

5We went to the oxford and this shot was setup by our friend erin browning who does a wonderful job for all the brides getting married there.  Rockies are doing great

6After eating lunch with our friends Chris and Katie Humphreys we took stanley to the Tattered Cover.  Chris got Stanley on the cover of 5280:)

2This is what stanley looks like with proper exposure:)

  • Charlotte I think Stanley should go to Pier 1...just sayin....its where the cool kids go. :P 10.13.09, 10:00PM
  • Mindy That is a positively adorable project - and lucky for Angie's cousin that she has photographers in the family - super cool! Wonder if Stanley is friends with the Roaming Gnome or Trolls? 10.14.09, 02:34PM

Check out what we had to say about photographik

Monday, October 12, 2009 Posted in colorado wedding photography

I opened photographik’s news letter today and saw a quote from angie and I.  Check out your newsletter to see what we said about photographik.  Jesse does a very nice job with this directory for both brides looking for a photographer and photographers looking for clients.
