Multiple Light Images

Friday, March 18, 2011 Posted in Colorado Wedding Photographer

Using multiple lights can help a photographer  create depth in your  wedding images.  If I had time I probably could have used a few more  lights on this image.  We went in the cave because it started to rain and this gave us an interesting spot to shoot while the weather changed.  Wedding Imagery can be so interesting, colorful military uniforms, beautiful light and interesting locations make for some great images.  If you like imagery like this make sure you  choose a photographer that is able to use lights.  Without the lights this is just a dark cave.

There is always something going on at Wedding

Thursday, March 17, 2011 Posted in wedding photographers, wedding photography

As photographers we are always looking for those little moments, the funny, sad, any real moments. I am lucky to get to shoot weddings with someone else. We know what each other is doing and usually help each other out without having to say anything. Angie was shooting formals of the bridal party and I was able to catch this shot. I love the bridesmaids face when the bride and groom started kissing.

If you are a bride and you can get two photographers instead of one I highly recommend it.  If you don’t think it will make a difference look at a full wedding from a two shooter team and compare it against a wedding shot by one photographer.  You will be able to see a difference. My small print. I am sure some great single shooter is out there going but I am better than 2 bad wedding shooters. He is correct. One really great shooter > than two bad shooters. Make the comparison with photographers of equal talent

Senior Photography Denver

Wednesday, March 16, 2011 Posted in Photographer

I love shooting pack film for seniors portraits.  Actually, I think I love shooting it for just about anything.  The only downside is right now we are limited to 4×5 or smaller. There is talk about the impossible project makeing some 8×10 stock sometime this year. I really hope it happens I have some projects in mind I would love to shoot with it. For now we have this pack film and I hope there are a few clients out there that like the look as well.

Amazing Light

Thursday, March 10, 2011 Posted in Colorado Wedding Photographer

It’s funny when you become a photographer how much you pay attention to light. We went to the movies the other day and we walked by a poster of a new movie. Angie says to me ” you are going to go see that just so you can see the lighting huh?”. The answer was yes. Actually going to a movie you know you might not like, just to see how they are lighting it. In some ways our fascination with light has ruined some movie viewing pleasure but it has added some where there used to be none. We have stopped at Sunset just to watch how the light falls on the field. Just when we think we have light all figured out we find another variation of it, different size or shape. Well enough about light it’s time for another picture.
