A few photographs of Angie

Wednesday, February 15, 2012 Posted in Photographer

Hopefully no one is getting tired of seeing images of Angie. Feel free to leave a comment and I will stop. It’s an exciting time for photographers lots of choices in cameras, lenses, film, combinations. This was a test for a new lens. I won’t bore the non- photographers talking about bokeh and sharpness. I really liked the look of these test shots and thought I would share.  I hope that you like them.

Private Wedding Workshops in Colorado

Monday, February 13, 2012 Posted in Denver Wedding Photographer

Its a new year and we have received a lot of emails asking where we would be teaching this year.  We will be teaching a image critique for Mile High Photographers that will be announced soon.  This will only be a limited engagement so we decided to offer private Woodshops for those that would like more instruction.  It will be two full days with both Angie and I in our new studio.  There are discounts available if you have a larger group like the ones we offered for our Wyoming and Montana classes last year. Give us a call if you would like to discuss how we can help you take your business to the next level.

Colorado Beaver Creek Wedding

Wednesday, February 08, 2012 Posted in destination wedding photographer

Every time I go to write a blog post from one of our weddings I get the opportunity to relive the event all over again!  I find myself wanting to write the same things….”we loved this couple”, “their wedding was so unique and fun” and “what amazing friends and family this couple had”.  I would love to say something different for this wedding but the truth is all of the previous statements are true!  We did love this couple, their friends, their families and yes….they were unique and fun!

Geoff and Kristen were married next to the river  in the grass surrounded by the beautiful Colorado Mountains.  They had chosen the Westin in Beaver Creek and it was so perfect.  It was a big wedding with a big bridal party surrounding the couple with lots of laughter, tears and support.  They even brought their adorable dog who wasn’t quite sure what to make of everything!

Everything about this couple was fun from the groomsmen’s pink socks to the cute green flower pins the bride had given each of her bridesmaids.  Geoff and Kristen are one of those amazing couples who are active in their community and do so much for other people.  Geoff actually runs a homeless shelter here in downtown Denver and before the wedding we caught him talking to a few people on the street, asking them how they were doing and then telling them about how excited he was to be getting married.

The view for the ceremony was so beautiful with the water flowing behind them and the lush greenery all around them.  Their ceremony wasn’t long but for 30 minutes her mom had everyone captivated as she was the officiant and married them that day.  She was so cute telling stories and talking about relationships and love.  You could see and feel all the emotions in their family and it made me smile.

Beaver Creek Wedding Details ~ Pink & Green

Wednesday, February 08, 2012 Posted in wedding photographers

After the heartwarming ceremony, Geoff and Kristen gave Andy and I bunch of time to play around the hotel taking pictures and we had a blast!  Kristen had put so much thought and planning into their wedding and you could it with every detail!  Her bridesmaids wore different styles of hot pink dresses matching the groomsmen’s tuxedos.  The bridesmaids carried a beautiful bouquet of white roses and each one wore a different pair of gold, sparkly shoes.

Kristen had carried her green/hot pink color scheme into the wedding reception with simple centerpieces.  They had given each guest their own ice cream scoop with a place card and then served ice cream after dinner alongside their giant candy bar!
