Working on this session and I wanted to share a picture of Jill and Tom at their engagement session in Vail Colorado. The weather was freezing and we got caught in a nice blizzard on the way back down but it was worth it. I love pictures like this that tell a story without you knowing anything about them.

I wanted to share a beautiful shot. It reminds me of some of the elegant Black and White movies of the 40’s and 50’s. The shot was taken at the beautiful wedding venue in Breckenridge Colorado, Ten Mile Station. Of course we will post more from this wedding as soon as we get everyone’s photographs done in time for Christmas.

You just have to love kids at weddings. We make blog posts like this a lot because they capture our hearts when they do all the cute stuff they do at weddings. Whether its a smile or laugh its just plain cute. This is a photograph from a wedding in Estes Park Colorado. I think the little girls smile is just contagious. What do you think?

Mark and Angela were married in eastern Colorado in farm land. Mark is in the military and has spent a lot of time away so they planned their wedding when they knew for sure he would be home.

When Angela first met with us she said there was a lot of open prairie, tractors and an old truck. Not knowing us well enough yet she wondered if there would be anything we could work with as photographers, but on the wedding day she found out how excited we were! She grew up out there and her family still lives there farming the land, she shared many stories of growing up and what is like to live on a farm. She had both Andy and I rolling on the floor and we knew we were going to have a lot of fun with her on the wedding day with photography.

They used a lot of red in their wedding from the red bride’s maid dresses to red flowers in the bouquets all the way to her crazy red wedding shoes. They were married in a cute little old church out there in the middle of nowhere and their reception was across the street in one of the only other buildings around. It was a great wedding to be a part of and we want to thank Mark for all he does for our country in the military.

It was dark after the ceremony so we got some really cool moody images. Photographers you may have seen this image hanging in a 40×60 at the WHCC booth in Las Vegas

What does Wedding Photography have to do with a Movie?

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver is an organization that was started in 1937 but because of World War II it wasn’t officially started until 1961 as a positive place for kids to spend free time. They offer proven programs that help kids to overcome challenges and succeed in life. The clubs today serve over 9,000 members in Denver offering a safe environment, supportive relationships and positive recognition. This is a great organization dedicated to helping the future of our kids! The Boys & Girls Clubs is having a fundraiser next Wednesday here in Denver and they have over 600 seats to fill. Andy & I have been a part of many non-profits and we always look forward to giving back when we can. This opportunity was given to us from one of our amazing past clients who works for the organization and we are thrilled! We will be there taking some photos for the organization, if you have the time join us and show your support! We will post some of the pictures if you can’t make it.

We entered the WPD photography contest again. We are allowed 3 entries as usual and out of 3100 entries all three made the top 100. The last contest they ran one of Andy’s shots made it into the final 10. Help us out if you get a chance and throw us a vote. Until we get caught up it is much easier to just post a few single images for everyone to see. This picture was taken at the top of Vail mountain. The wedding and reception was at Donovan Pavillion in Vail. I just love the romantic nature of this shot with Paige and Marcus dancing as a huge storm was building behind us. Of course we will be posting more images from this wedding so hopefully you can’t wait. The good news is we have lots of material for the winter with over 20 weddings still not blogged.

Angie and I have been working to catch up with our weddings from this year (some really long hours). Here are a just a few, a small taste of the wonderful photos that we took in Cancun Mexico. You can say that these shots are Mexico A&A style. Soon as we get caught up we have a lot more shots from this destination wedding in mexico. Chris and Mindy were an amazing couple, really in love and a ton of fun to hang out with. I know we have made some great friends.
