Anyone that knows Angie and me can tell you were a goof balls. We have been together so long that we can have fun doing just about anything as long as its with each other. This video is going to prove it. We can have a conversation with cows. You probably need a back story or two to help you with this video. First story. Angie loves cows, she stops to take pictures of them and say hello no matter where we are. We have been traveling through Kansas and heard here say “stop stop stop here”. I am thinking to myself I either just blew past a cop or she is about to get sick. Well neither was true. She saw some cows, and apparently it was a big deal that we stop to say hello lol. Second, a story laughed at by Angies Aunt and told frequently, is when Angie was a child she asked how much the cows were. Why ? because they had tags in there ears. It’s been a joke ever since. After our wedding last week in Estes Park at the Stanley we decided to go to Rocky Mountain National Park for the day. I saw a stand that rented scooters and thought. That’s hilarious, lets do this. So hopefully you will laugh at our warped sense of humor and fun.
Video and images were taken with the Iphone since we didn’t want to take our expensive gear along
Well anyone that knows us, knows that we have a major mac problem in this household. We have every possible configuration and product that apple makes. It’s not a horrible problem to have, it could be worse right? Some people drink, do drugs , well we drink the mac cool-aid. When the new 4g came out we of course went in to look at them but, we decided that we could get along with our old iphones for another year or so. Well a few weeks ago I decided to leave me phone in the center console of our jeep in a glass of water. Oops:) Negotiations issued immediately. I think I might have even been accused of purposely taking the life of my old iphone. I would never do such a thing. Mac electronics are sacred:) I was even threatened with just a prepaid normal phone for the rest of my life. Really? Who uses a phone thats only used for phone calls. That makes it almost useless:)
Well after a few weeks of waiting we have finally upgraded and are loving it. The video, and new screen are making for some new sharing of our lives with friends and family. Stay tuned for some video’s coming up.
Here is a cool video showing the differences through the years.

Pro’s have an advantage taking this test because most of them are working on color calibrated monitors to make sure prints match their labs. Those of you that don’t though can still play. I thought this might be fun for those of you that want to see how you stack up. Feel free to leave your scores as a comment. Click on the picture to take you to the test.
I get a lot of emails, and we got asked a lot when teaching classes at the College, about our gear. I always felt like I was somehow misleading people though, because its not always about the gear. It doesn’t allways take thousands of dollars of gear to take a great photograph. My case and point for saying this is a story about fishing. My family regularly goes fishing to Wyoming. The best gear is not a prerequisite for fishing. Its a nice thing to have. It may help you land the fish faster. It may help you with precision casting. Its a nice thing to have, and makes your life easier. You can catch fish with cheap gear. The same is true with photography gear. With experience and knowledge of light and how a camera operates, you can make beautiful images with just about any camera. Here are some images from a recent gallery show made with a 30.00 dollar holga camera, which I think are pretty cool. Any camera even pinhole camera’s can take beautiful images. A camera is just a box with a hole that lets light in. It can be made out of a dixie cup, and get images that can inspire.
I wanted to share this video I ran into which shows a fashion shoot done with an Iphone. The video is both funny and entertaining. You can see the finished images at Fstoppers
