First Dance Elegance and Love

Wednesday, September 29, 2010 Posted in Denver Wedding Photographer

Candid moments happen at every wedding, and we try to always be there for the special looks and moments.  Most of the time its experience and skill that bring home the image.  I have shot enough weddings to position myself for the best light, and which lenses will yield a great candid.  Some of that is going on in this image.  I will be honest though where the focus fell on this image would have been very difficult during a first dance.  I am not going to complain, the image that I got is one of my favorite first dance shots I have every taken.

Mindi, was nothing but pure elegance on her wedding day.  You can see it in this image, beautiful and striking.  Chris his expression can’t be set up, it cant be faked.  That is love.  That is what it looks like.

Custom Thank you Cards and Save the Dates

Wednesday, September 29, 2010 Posted in colorado wedding photography

We have so many products that sometimes we don’t always have time to show clients what we can do for them. Sierra asked us to put together a custom thank you card. We usually put together a few designs and send them over. After the design has been approved we talk about the papers that these can be printed on. I wanted to share the cover to one of the card designs since I think it turned out pretty cool.  If you are interested in something like this please let us know.

Stunning Bridal Portraits

Friday, September 24, 2010 Posted in wedding photography

I don’t have a lot of time to post today but I wanted to at least leave you with a few stunning bridal images.  We talk about this a lot on the blog, but it is the reason we like wedding photography so much.  On Mindi’s wedding day it rained horribly before the ceremony.  So the challenge was to create a beautiful image without going outside.  This is what angie came up with and I really like it a lot.  She played on the color and the leading lines, then added some dramatic off camera lighting. I will be showing Mindi’s wedding early next week so stay tuned.

Here is another classic bridal portrait. Sarah looks beautiful this was taken just a few minutes before the ceremony. It makes you wonder what she might be thinking.

Jamaica Bound

Friday, September 24, 2010 Posted in wedding photographers

One of my favorite parts of this business is working with such great clients.  Our clients are genuine real people with a story that needs to be told.  I have had few jobs over the years. Haven’t we all?  From a waitress in college, to managing a portrait studio, and then retail clothing manager.  I can say people are not always appreciative and caring.  I can’t say that about our clients though.  They are thoughtful, caring and a pleasure to work with.  We have gained some very nice friends from our adventures, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I was so excited earlier this week when one of our brides from this weekend sent over this luggage tag and a card saying pack your bags.  I am off to an adventure in Jamaica this weekend and Andy has a wedding in Montrose/Ouray where the Aspens are changing in all their beautiful glory.  I thought some of you might think this was a cute idea for your destination wedding.

So here’s to our wonderful clients and friends.
