Mile High Station Wedding Part 1

Tuesday, July 27, 2010 Posted in wedding photographers

Jared & Brandee met with us about 6 months from their wedding date and they had the most interesting story to tell us about their engagement! Their love story is a unique one where they had known each other, were apart a few years and then one day Brandee made a call that would change both of their lives.  Once they reconnected their love was stronger than ever and they started planning their wedding almost right away.  Brandee was the make-up artist for a wedding we had done a year or two before and so we were excited to hear from her and talk about her wedding!

We started with an engagement session in Boulder and quickly got to know them both.  When we talked about their wedding they had so many ideas and had spent a lot of time making it perfect for them.  With an urban theme in mind they picked Mile High Station near downtown Denver for their venue.  Before the ceremony the girls got ready at a nearby hotel and after a detour to a local firehouse we headed over to Mile High Station.   They had their ceremony there and then after the guests went upstairs for cocktail hour they had the place transformed into a beautiful reception. They hung small candles from the rafters for the ceremony with beautiful flower arrangements at the front.  Here is the first set of our favorite pictures from their wedding!

Mile High Station Wedding Part II

Tuesday, July 27, 2010 Posted in wedding photography

Jared & Brandee had a formal wedding with a very romantic feel.  They had several candles lit throughout the whole day while the main lights were dimmed.  Her bridesmaids wore long black & white elegant dresses and carried beautiful bouquets of pink, white and purple flowers.  Brandee’s bouquet was also very elegant with white roses, calla lilies and small purple flowers throughout.

They used simple white tablecloths with black linen napkins and had a tall vase in the middle of each table with black stones, a single white rose submerged in water and a small black candle.  The whole room was breathtaking after it was dark and all of the candles were lit.  It was such a romantic setting, you couldn’t help but to feel the love in the room.

As is custom at Mile High Station, the bride & groom did their first dance on the bottom floor while their guests watched from above dropping rose petals slowly throughout the dance.

It was a beautiful wedding and we are thankful to have been a part of their wedding day!  Here are a few more of our favorite pictures….

Indiana Wedding Photography Workshop

Monday, July 26, 2010 Posted in Wedding Photography Workshops

We are happy to announce that we will be doing a 2 day Woodshop in Southbend Indiana on November 6-7.  One day is going to be business and Seo and the second day is going to be out shooting teaching the way we shoot and create our award winning images. We have setup a special price for this workshop since there were already 6-10 people interested and it was a group buy.  So even though you may not be part of this group you can still benefit from the pricing.   We have a few others including one here in Colorado that we will be announcing as well.  I know a lot of you have been waiting for us to get these dates out.  Its a ton of work getting these setup and planned. It doesn’t help that we are in the heart of wedding season.

If you are interested in more details please feel free to give us a call 303.888.9394. We want to thank our host Stephen Bounau for asking us to come out.
