A special person

Friday, January 20, 2012 Posted in portraits

You know who she is.  It’s my wife (Angie).  We had a little sun today, and it gave me a chance to go out and practice some.  It’s not our anniversary, it wasn’t anything special, but she is.  Being around her and having images of her makes me happy.  I wanted to share one of the images I took and hopefully will have some time to post the rest next week.

Wedding at Willow Ridge Manor

Monday, January 16, 2012 Posted in Denver Wedding Photography

Andy and I have always loved those moments at a wedding where you can see the connection between the family members, the friends of the bride and groom and of course the couple…..

This particular wedding was at Willow Ridge Manor and was full of those moments!  From the beginning of the day with the bride and her sister getting ready to the moment she walked down the aisle with her dad.  So many moments with them laughing and a few with tears.  Marcus and Amy had planned the day to be one their family and friends would never forget and I would say they accomplished that task from the live band to the giant jars of candy on each of the tables.

Here are a few of those moments from their day!

Engagement Sessions in Colorado

Thursday, January 12, 2012 Posted in Denver Wedding Photography, engagement photographers

Andy and I love engagement sessions!  It is so fun to work with a couple totally in love and getting ready for one of the biggest days of their lives!  It is also a great opportunity for us to get to know our clients better and gives them practice in front of the camera.  The other thing we love is the opportunity we get to use our film cameras!  Usually in an engagement session we will bring multiple film cameras and use them along side our digital versions.  So to give you a taste, the first 8 photos in this fun session with Mark & Megan are film taken with Contax 645 and Portra 400.  We just love how the beautiful fall colors come out in the film!

One of the advantages of having two photographers is getting a variety of looks and angles.  One photographer would never be able to do this in the amount of time we can.

Wedding Photographs in Alaska

Monday, January 09, 2012 Posted in Colorado Wedding Photographer

The day after Carl and Bonnie’s wedding we had the chance to travel around and do more pictures  with the two of them!  If we have the chance at a destination wedding to do another session we always will!  It’s so much fun to explore other parts of the area we are in and take our time creating the images!  Carl and Bonnie were good sports standing on ledges overlooking the ocean, walking through the woods and even playing with some fire.  Alaska is so pretty, Andy and I could  of taken pictures there for days and still not have scratched the surface.  We found hidden waterfalls with rocks covered in moss and flowers, rocky ledges overlooking the ocean with mountains behind and old mining towns with rustic little buildings and natural streams.  We had so much fun that day playing around for hours trying to get in as much as we could!

After 2 days of wedding photography we were ready to explore more of Alaska and hit the road in an RV!  We had a blast and are so thankful to Carl and Bonnie for including us on their wedding day and showing us their beautiful state!
