How to create a custom Twitter background

Tuesday, February 02, 2010 Posted in misc

I just updated our Twitter page.  For all of you that are not following yet here it is http://twitter.com/andyangiewood .  If you did not know you can customize your twitter landing page.

Why would you want to do this?

1.  Express yourself

2.  Artistic creativity

3.  Branding- its very important to keep everything you use in your business branded and with the same message.  We will be talking about this in Las Vegas at our Platform Class more.

Here is what we came up with

How to customize your Twitter Background

1.  Log into Twitter at www.twitter.com

2. Go to settings > Design

3.  At the bottom of the page  you will see both change background image and change design colors.  You can change out to a pre-configured look or design your own.

Designing your own background

1.  Your canvas for this project is going to be 1600×1200.  Most people use the far left because as the screen size gets larger the text part of twitter moves away from the background.

2.  After you have created your own background go to settings > Design

3.  Design > change background image

4.  Click choose file and upload your new made background.  Click Save Changes to upload it

5.  After your custom background is up click design > change design colors

6.  Pick the colors for the background, text, links, sidebar, sidebar border.  Try to match your branding and custom background.  You will be able to use a color picker or hex code to change them.

Posts are no fun without pictures.

We know that we have a lot of wedding planners , florists, cinematographers, caterers, dj’s , that read our blog regularly.  We have met many of you at weddings and organizations in Colorado.  We value the incredible work you guys do each year and your friendships.  Andy and I have decided to give back to you guys by giving a free 3 hour class on how to use the internet to build your business. We will cover Search Engine Optimization, how to create content, blogs, Pagerank, how to get links, and much more.  Our hope is that just hours after this class you will have cheap and effective ways to market your business on the internet.  The great part about this you will leave with some great information, and possibly some new friendships and and stronger network.

We have partnered with the Oxford Hotel and McCormick’s Catering to bring this class to you. It will be held on Thursday, January 28th. Erin Browning will be giving us a small tour of the facilities, which are beautiful and worth coming in for.

We will be sending out invitations next week.  If you are think that you might not be on the list just send us an email and we will add you.  You can also fill out our contact form.

Photographers- If you are interested in this material we will be teaching a similar class dedicated to a photographers business, in Las Vegas at WPPI 2010.  The platform class will be on Tuesday at 6:30 March 9th.  You can check Rangefinder magazine for room information.

We just reached 50,000 visitors on the blog. Andy and I want to say thank you to everyone that frequents the blog. It really is fun to see all the comments, many times it makes our day. Over the years it is great to hear about past brides checking out the blog years after they are married. We have even been told by some of you that your friends and family love to come into work on monday and check out our blog. That is a true compliment.

Thank you,

Riley – Dog Portraits Colorado

Monday, August 24, 2009 Posted in misc

These pictures of Riley were taken a few months ago. Her owners came in a few weeks ago to pick out a canvas wrap and album of his session. Angie told me the family said she wasn’t doing very well and they didn’t know how long she had. I was thinking about Riley this morning and wanted to share a few of her portraits. Its been so hard to keep up with the blog, not many of our portrait sessions actually make the blog, so enjoy.

So if you see these photo’s and want to wish Riley the best please leave a comment. Who knows maybe we can send some love her way:)
