Hopefully no one is getting tired of seeing images of Angie. Feel free to leave a comment and I will stop. It’s an exciting time for photographers lots of choices in cameras, lenses, film, combinations. This was a test for a new lens. I won’t bore the non- photographers talking about bokeh and sharpness. I really liked the look of these test shots and thought I would share. I hope that you like them.
It’s that time of year again, and we are excited to be able to help. This is the fourth year we have been able to participate by giving our time to mentor. If you are interested in spending 2 hours with us either at studio or over the phone, we will be an open book and help you in anyway we can. Raising money for such a great cause, is one of the reasons that we became photographers. Helping others is such a blessing. Be sure to check out the other amazing talent that have donated their time.
If you have any questions give us a call.
The auction runs for 2 Days Thirst Relief Auction
Getting out and practicing is important even for someone who has been shooting for 7 years as a professional. I don’t always have a client to take images of so Angie gets forced into being my model. I am fortunate that she is so pretty.

A few weeks ago Andy & I took a road trip with our dog up to Montana to second shoot a wedding with a friend there. It was a complete adventure and one of the reasons we both LOVE this career! We made the long trek through the entire state of Wyoming which was rather pretty and came across a few tourist traps we happily stopped for including the battle where General Custer had his last stand.
We took 2 days to arrive in the little city of Helena, MT and took many, many photos along the way. The next day we went to the wedding where learned about the amazing sunsets in MT and also the giant mosquitos. The wedding was really nice and we had a lot of fun shooting the with talented Chris Rebo.
While we were up there we had decided to do a workshop and with so many people attending from all over the state we were so glad we did! I’m not sure to describe the day, it was so much fun and made many new friends throughout.
The first part of the day we were at a beautiful ranch, Kleffner Ranch where we had a styled shoot and talked about lighting. We were able to go over posing with our models, how to take beautiful detail shots and and how to use light. I fell in love with the designed table that was created by Andy & our host Chris Rebo from all of the random things we picked up along our journey. The whole table was created with things Andy & I picked up at many different antique and thrift shops and it came together so well!
We even had a cake made from Vanilla Bean Bakery, which the whole crew got to enjoy after the shoot!
We had such a great group of people and we are so thankful we got to spend the day with them! We also had a great couple to model for us with some beautiful accessories from Brides & Beaux.
I wanted to share some of the pictures from the styled part of the shoot the first half of the day that were taken with film!
Also a quick shot from one of our attendees, Jeremiah Daniel Photography from the class in action!
I will post some digital shots from the rest of the day walking around town and random ones from our whole trip back through Yellowstone in the next week as well!
