I wanted to put a very small taste of a trash the dress session Angie and I did a few weeks ago. Kami and Justin did a trash the dress/day after session with us. The weather was crazy and we got some truly stunning stuff. I think some of the work was our best to date.
A little background on trash the dress for those of you who are not familiar.
Trash the dress: Was a national phenomena where photographers take the bride back out after the wedding day and destroy the wedding dress. I am not a huge fan of the name since this isn’t how we approach the shoot. It is a time for angie and I to do portraits without fear of getting the dress dirty, not destroying it. We have kept the name because it is what most brides associate with when they think of this kind of shoot. Its the same premise as a bridal shoot but we can have more fun and not worry about a little piece of dirt.
Day after Wedding Shoot: Is a shoot typically the day after the wedding. It gives the photographer a chance to create portraits that time did not allow for on the wedding day. Perhaps going to alternate locations or involving more complex lighting setups.
