Engagement Photography | Denver Colorado

Friday, November 14, 2008 Posted in Colorado Wedding Photographer

Andy & I have super busy and we haven’t had a chance to blog all of the awesome work we have been doing this year.  We are trying to catch up;  many more posts to come!  Ricky and Teresa came to our studio to talk about wedding photography for their wedding up in Silverthorne here in Colorado.   We had been talking with Teresa so when she brought her fiance Ricky in were surprised because we already knew him!  Turns out he went to Columbine High School with us many years ago  (I won’t tell you how many because I don’t want to age myself!)  It was fun talking about their wedding and some of the old friends we used to know!

We did their engagement session at a beautiful park in Denver and by the end had them experts on having their picture taken!  They are such a fun cute couple;  we had a great time!  Here are a few of our favorites!

Wedding & Portrait Photographers International

Monday, November 10, 2008 Posted in Colorado Wedding Photographer

Andy & I have been so lucky over the years to be a part of different organizations and groups that have supported us in our photography company. One such organization, WPPI we have been a part of for the past several years and have attended the Convention/Trade show in Las Vegas. WPPI has given us the opportunity to meet other photographers and learn from the best in the business. We have also had the awesome honor of winning 24 awards of excellence in their International Print Competition!

They have a huge trade show and a variety of classes with some of the best photographers teaching! This year the convention is at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas February 14 -19, 2009. The convention starts with golf tournament, print/album judging and a huge party.

This year Andy and I will teaching a Masterclass and we are really excited!

You can check it out here:  http://www.wppionline.com/tradeshow/show2009/

WPPI is the world’s largest professional photography organization with thousands of members and the best photographers in the industry. For all of you photographers out their reading our blog this would be a great organization for you! We have learned so much and watched our business grow leaps and bounds after attending the convention! There is an amazing atmosphere that will get you excited about photography and the people in it! If you are in the industry you should really check out this awesome organization and come to the convention!

  • PatB Wow, teaching a master class that is awesome! I don't know if the WPPI extend outside the US but here in the UK we have the SWPP and there conventions are also great learning opportunities for photographers. Good luck with your master class. 11.11.08, 07:21AM

Keystone Wedding Photography | Ski Tip Lodge

Friday, November 07, 2008 Posted in Colorado Wedding Photographer

Andy & Kristin recently got married at the Ski Tip Lodge here in Keystone, Colorado.  Ski Tip Lodge is a bed & Breakfast right off the mountain in Keystone.  Apparently they are known for the breakfast’s as they serve full on hot breakfast meals!

It’s such a cute wedding venue with beautiful surroundings.  The building itself looks like a European Chateau and is covered with all sorts of colorful flowers.  It wasn’t hard to find a place for pictures because it was so pretty everywhere.   Andy & Kristin were married out back amongst the aspen trees, the mountains and a little pond.  As soon as Kristin made it to the end of the aisle it began to rain, but they were such good sports and stuck through the ceremony!

Her bridesmaids wore cute little purple dresses and she used purple throughout the details including the centerpieces. Their guest book was a landscape photography coffee table book that the guests signed and left little messages around the pictures.  For dinner they had a pasta bar where the guests could choose the type of pasta, the meat, the sauce, the veggies and anything else to put in it.  They had several guys there to cook up the pasta up right there for you.  It was a great idea and the food was wonderful.  We had such a great time at your wedding and we are so happy to have been a part of it!  Thanks and Congratulations Andy & Kristin!

  • Pat Great series of pictures telling the story, I especially like the exchanging of rings in the rain though! The intense colour saturation looks superb without being over the top. 11.07.08, 08:04AM
