Engagement Pictures with Eric & Trisha

Wednesday, April 28, 2010 Posted in wedding photography

Eric and Trisha are a playful couple who told us to be creative and were open to whatever ideas we had!  Whenever a client says that to us we grin from ear to ear and go full speed ahead!  You could see the love these two share from the minute they walked in the room so we knew the engagement session was going to be easy on us!  For us the engagement session is a great way to get to know our clients even better and see the way they interact with each other!  These two were playful, full of love and had no problem holding hands.  Although we had our fun in the sun and enjoyed the blue skies we finished the session with a parking garage and some creative shots.  We are always thankful to our couples who let us play around do the un-ordinary!

  • Karli These are beautiful! I love the second image in front of the tin "garage" thing. 04.29.10, 11:36AM

Engagement Sessions in Vail

Tuesday, April 27, 2010 Posted in destination wedding photographer

Working on this session and I wanted to share a picture of Jill and Tom at their engagement session in Vail Colorado.  The weather was freezing and we got caught in a nice blizzard on the way back down but it was worth it.  I love pictures like this that tell a story without you knowing anything about them.

Professional Photographers of Colorado Wedding Workshop

Thursday, April 22, 2010 Posted in wedding photography

Meet Molly!

We recently met Molly from Villa Parker here in Parker Colorado.  We spoke for the local chapter of the PPA (Professional Photographers of America) PPC.  Andy and I were so honored when they asked us to speak for the annual wedding workshop they were holding!  Because we wanted to speak about something we love and something we do often in our business, we chose bridal portraits.  Andy and I do quite a few bridal pictures before a wedding with our brides and sometimes we even do them after!  It gives us a chance to get more pictures with our bride, use more locations, use our studio and get to know her before the wedding day!

In the afternoon we had a chance to shoot with models and teach to the class in a hands on environment.  We chose to show some studio lighting with a backdrop because it would be something most people don’t do here in Colorado.  We shared the pocket wizards and each of the students had the chance to shoot.  We were so lucky that day to have two wonderful models and today I am introducing you to the first one, Molly!  Molly works for the Villa Parker Venue and graciously became a model for the day as well!  Villa Parker is a really cool wedding venue, with some wonderful people who own it!   If you are looking for one here in Colorado go talk to Molly and check it out!

We are finishing the whole session up with both models and will post the rest when they are done, so keep a lookout!

I wanted to show a quick shot of the room at the end of the day with most everyone!  Thank you so much for everyone who came; we had a blast and hope you all learned a thing or two!
