Although Angie and I have a studio we really prefer doing family portraiture outdoors especially with younger kids. The shoot flows well since we usually pick a location that the kids will have a lot of fun at. We shoot a little, play a little, the shoot some more. It works out great and gives the family a chance to have a fun day together. I know these pictures will make everyone smile when they are pulled out years later. So to share a few more from the day.
I just got 4 more sessions of film in and wanted to share this image really quickly. We shoot a lot of different kinds of assignments. Two of the sessions are birth images from the hospital the day after, a family session, and a birthday. One of the things we love about our job is capturing the emotions and moments that happen all around us. For most of the year we do this at weddings, but other times it is new baby’s birth or a family playing in a park together. We captured this image while new baby, Rylan was quietly asleep in his grandmother’s arms. She was so full of emotion we couldn’t help ourselves! She is proud, happy, and thankful and you can’t but see it.

I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas filled with some great times with loved ones and friends. I hope noone has been checking the blog since I wasn’t very good at blogging. We were really busy getting orders and weddings done so we could have some time with family.
Hanging out with us for the Holidays can be dangerous. We love taking pictures and the holidays are a great time to get some pictures of family and friends. I shot a few boxes of polaroids.
We just love and look forward to taking these pictures every year. The photos are for books they give there familys as christmas presents. JB and Eric are brothers and these are there family’s. Each year we pick a different theme and a different place to shoot. This is the first half of the family pictures. We will share the activity they chose in the second half of the photographs. Its a lot of fun to see the family’s we photograph as they grow and get older.
