Photo Booth A&A Photography Style

Monday, September 14, 2009 Posted in Denver Wedding Photographer

Photo Booths have made been becoming very popular over the last few years. We have been doing them for two years and have kept them off the blog to make sure they were a unique offering. Well the cat is out of the bag but our unique look isn’t. Here are a few from Chris and Danette’s wedding. These can be so popular with the guests that there was a point were everyone was in line to get there photograph and the dance floor was empty. You know people are having fun when grandma, the groomsman and bridesmaids are in 10 pictures.

Wedding Photographers – Beautiful Moments

Friday, September 11, 2009 Posted in Denver Wedding Photographer

Many people ask us do we shoot photojournalism. Angie and I have always shied away from titles because our work doesn’t really fit any particular category. Part of the reason for this is we are changing the way we shoot weddings based on each couple. Some couples need more photojournalism, because they are conferrable around the camera and if we modified or coaxed things we would destroy the natural things that would happen. Others need a little guidance. Much of what we are known for is our portrait work. Whether its classic or fashion oriented. It is what we show mostly on our site, what clients come to us to create. The other part of the job that is more than 80 percent of the day is photojournalism. We are just hanging back documenting the beauty of your day. Non scripted, real emotions, captured in a way they will be classics.

This is kind of a sneak peak for Chris and Danette. This is Danette’s father giving her away during there ceremony. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. I really loved this series of images I hope you do as well.

Are you looking for a photojournalist to capture your wedding?

Ricky and Theresa- Silverthorne Pavillion Wedding Photography

Wednesday, September 02, 2009 Posted in Denver Wedding Photographer

When we first talked with Ricky and Theresa we had no idea that we went to high school with Ricky until they came to the studio to meet with us. It was a nice surprise and fun to see Ricky again! They were married in the mountains at the Silverthorne Pavilion. They held their ceremony inside along with the reception due to the heavy amounts of rain that day. Although their guests didn’t sit in the rain Ricky, Theresa and their bridal party were brave enough to be outside for their pictures. Andy & I love it when it rains because it creates the most amazing sky, which if you know us, you know that is our thing!

Because it was a fall wedding they used fall colors including red, orange, yellow and red. She had a beautiful selection of flowers which was perfect for the time of year with her color using roses, daises and cala lilies. The bridesmaids wore long elegant red dresses and there was even a beautiful red accent on Theresa’s wedding dress.

We had a blast at this wedding and as end result we also earned two WPPI awards from it!

Brandon and Kelsey – Denver Wedding Photography

Monday, August 17, 2009 Posted in Denver Wedding Photographer, Denver Wedding Photography

Brandon & Kelsey were married here in Denver at the University Club downtown. When Kelsey first came to meet with us she brought 2 of her best friends (also in the wedding) and her mom; we loved them all and knew were going to have a great time. We did their engagement session several months before their wedding downtown and mostly in the dark. So we definitely used more artistic measures with our photos that night and the light. They were such good sports and seemed to have a good time even in the dark!

Her girls wore long dresses in a periwinkle color and flowers with a combination of calla lilies/roses. Not only were they all ready early but they were up for anything when it came to photos and hung outside with us for a long time in the cold! They had a lot of friends and family who were very involved in the whole process including a band for their reception with Brandon’s dad, brother and friends. They served cupcakes in multiple flavors for dessert and showed a video they made with each other and stories that had everyone laughing.

We were so lucky to be a part of such a beautiful wedding and we wish you guys lots of happiness!
