They used a variety of colors in their wedding with blue and brown as their anchor. Their bridesmaids wore cute little blue dresses that matched the blue shawl Melisa wore to keep warm.
She used daisies, tulips and roses in purples, reds, pinks and oranges that looked like hand picked wild flowers from Pick Me. Her cake from Kelly Kakes was brown with cute little blue and yellow flowers throughout matching her overall theme.
Melisa’s father even made a hanging tea light candle structure that was hung from the ceiling above the cake and lit during the ceremony and reception. Some of their family even surprised them with different colored glass ornaments hanging on the windows. They were so pretty and were a perfect touch to what Melisa had already done. We had a great time with these guys and were lucky to be a part of such a small yet romantic wedding!
Angie’s little cousin recently sent us a drawing of little boy named Stanley. I guess this is project kids in school have been doing based off of a book Flat Stanley. Apparently in this story after this boy is flattened he is sent on different trips and he comes home with pictures, postcards and gifts. Her cousin’s assignment was to send her personally colored Stanley somewhere and see what he came home with. Angie and I have had a lot of fun taking Stanley with us places and taking his picture! We even had some friends who got in on the action with some great ideas!
Please vote on where we should take stanley next. You can even add your idea. Be G with your reponses:)
Here are the pictures we have taken so far…..
Stanley can be like find waldo. He is in the bottom left corner by the Broncos Tail
Stanley was trying to go green and decided to hitch a ride home
Stanley wanted a picture with Union Station behind him so we went and stood in the middle of the street for this shot.
We went to the oxford and this shot was setup by our friend erin browning who does a wonderful job for all the brides getting married there. Rockies are doing great
After eating lunch with our friends Chris and Katie Humphreys we took stanley to the Tattered Cover. Chris got Stanley on the cover of 5280:)
This is what stanley looks like with proper exposure:)
We met Shawn and Jeanna in downtown Denver one day after work to do their engagement session. The weather was beautiful and in the city there are so many places to shoot. We started by Union Station and worked our way across the city. We had a lot of fun and we just wanted to share a few of our favorites from this engagement session in downtown Denver!
One of our favorite detail shots at every wedding is the rings. I wont go into the symbolism of the rings themselves, but they say something about the people that picked them out. In some ways the shot can be very powerful because of what the rings mean. The other great thing is shots like this are a great way to show the ring off to those that couldn’t make it to the wedding. I am working on a wedding today and I really loved this shot and thought you guys might like it.
