Patrick and Michaela were married at the beautiful Arrowhead Golf Course, here in Colorado. We bonded with this couple right from the start over our love of dogs! These two were so much fun to be around and you can tell make each other laugh every day. Red and orange were the main colors they used throughout the day with colorful daisy centerpieces and bright bouquets. Her bridesmaids wore long black dresses and carried the same bright orange and red daisy bouquets.
The theme was carried over into the reception along with potted plants on each table in shiny silver containers. There was also a lot of hot sauce at this wedding including a small bottle with each guest’s name on it for their seating assignment. Which of course, each table had an appropriate name like, Jalapeno….
And because these two love their dogs so much they had to have them in their wedding! However they were small dogs and most of the time you didn’t even notice them as they were passed from guest to guest and sleeping in laps until the end of the night!
Andy & I just had an amazing weekend watching some friends get married and participating in a wedding without our cameras. As we watched two close friends make vows to each other, I was thinking about all of the amazing wedding ceremonies we have watched over the years. Photographing that part of the day when a couple is in the moment, the little smiles between the couple and the tears that fall not only from the bride and groom but from their closest friends and family members.
Today we are sharing another wedding we did here in Colorado where the couples dogs were very important guests. They even dressed them up and had them walk down the aisle. Everything Ryan and Lindsay did was in either pink or black and had a reception full of carnations and star-gazer lilies.
The best part of the day for us was the chance to photograph the bride and groom with their bridal party above the highway overlooking the amazing Colorado Mountains!
The little quite times we get to spend with those we love are sometimes forgotten but so important.
If you have read this blog for any amount of time you know how much Angie and I love animals. We especially love dogs. We love seeing people incorporate things that they love in their wedding. At a wedding recently at Arrowhead Golf course the couple dressed up their dog and everyone had a lot of fun watching their family pet be part of their amazing day. I wanted to show it I hope it brings a smile to your face.
