Love this capture. The little ring bearer playing hide and go seek before the wedding in Colorado Springs. I love taking pictures of children and older guests at weddings they are always full of character. I bet this little guy is a handful. Shots like this are a lot of for the family to see since they were all outside the church getting ready for the ceremony.
I hope everyone had a nice Halloween weekend. I wanted to share a ring shot with you guys. We take these at almost every wedding. There is a lot of symbolism in wedding rings, which is why we have so much fun taking pictures of them. It is easy to create something abstract and beautiful. They Show the personalities of the wearers, and they are symbolic of the relationship. We try and use things that are close to the couple or are a part of the day somehow. Every album we have created so far has had a ring shot we have taken from the day. I hope you enjoy this one.

Andy & I love photography….all kinds of photography from dark/moody to bright sun. Here in Colorado the light and the weather change so much and so fast that we know how important it is to know each technique of photography. You never know what you are going to get and as professionals we think it is important to be prepared for any lighting situation. The other side of this, is there are 2 of us and many times we will shoot the same situation in 2 very different ways. We do this so our clients have a variety in their pictures but also because we love it! While one of us is getting in close getting emotions with natural light, another can be getting beautiful epic environmental shots at the same time. The 2 shots below are from a recent engagement session and were taken within minutes of each other. The first one shows off the sunset with added lighting and the 2nd one a candid natural lit picture.

I don’t have a lot of time to post today but I wanted to at least leave you with a few stunning bridal images. We talk about this a lot on the blog, but it is the reason we like wedding photography so much. On Mindi’s wedding day it rained horribly before the ceremony. So the challenge was to create a beautiful image without going outside. This is what angie came up with and I really like it a lot. She played on the color and the leading lines, then added some dramatic off camera lighting. I will be showing Mindi’s wedding early next week so stay tuned.
Here is another classic bridal portrait. Sarah looks beautiful this was taken just a few minutes before the ceremony. It makes you wonder what she might be thinking.
