Love this capture. The little ring bearer playing hide and go seek before the wedding in Colorado Springs. I love taking pictures of children and older guests at weddings they are always full of character. I bet this little guy is a handful. Shots like this are a lot of for the family to see since they were all outside the church getting ready for the ceremony.
We have so much new work to show its not funny. It can be very time consuming to to put up full weddings or engagements. I have been trying really hard to just put up a few at a time if I can’t get the whole session up. I hope you guys are at least having fun.
We added a few rolls of film to this engagement session and they turned out beautiful. We of course shot a lot of beautiful digital images as well. This image makes you feel something. What does it make you feel?
Love that they are having fun and the look of polaroids.
I was moving some files around today and ran across these two files from a fire themed shoot we did with a model for her portfolio. I thought you might enjoy taking a look at them. The shoot got me thinking about practice. I played sports in high school and it was instilled in me early that if you ever wanted to be good at something you were going to need to practice it. Jerry Rice often referred to as the best wide receiver to ever play the game got there by practice. What many people don’t know is that Jerry Rice practiced harder and more than just about anyone in the league. Rice in the off season would conduct his own practice regiment 6 days a week. While others were enjoying the down time Rice was pushing himself. During the season some players would work out with him to see if they could keep up. Many got sick before the day was done. Many players and coaches would write and ask the trainers for his regiment. They declined in fear that people would hurt themselves if they tried his workout.
If you want to be better at whatever you do, practice. It doesn’t have to be the actual activity, but even supporting practice will help.
For instance, Jerry didn’t always play football he may have been strength training or running. Both of these activities helped with football. For a photographer, maybe its taking an art class, reading a book on composition. All of these things will help you to become a better photographer.
