A black and white large format film 4×5 of a groom in Grand Lake Colorado. A timeless black and white image taken with a speed graphic and developed and scanned by us. I love a good portrait.
Angie and I were at a wedding this weekend. We made it even with all the snow. I couldn’t help but to take a few images, I almost always have some sort of camera with me. It got me thinking about some of the things we do as photographers. I know we spend a little more time than many photographers getting to know our couples. It helps us see the important relationships, and capture them. It helped me take some of these images.
Brides father after the wedding
Emotional moment after the brides dance with father.
A little teaser image for you guys. This was taken at Lionsgate in Lafayette Colorado. I love the feelings that the image shows us.
It’s that time of the year again. Angie and I feel strongly about giving back. Thirst Relief was started by a few photographers, has partnered with Photography Educators, to give mentor sessions and instruction shoots in Las Vegas at Wedding and Portrait Photographers International convention. Last year they raised 36,000. We have done this for the the last 4 years and really think it’s a great cause. If you are a photographer and are interested in a mentor session there are some amazingly talented photographers in this auction. Many I would consider to be some of the best wedding photographers in the world.
