We did this fun wedding up in Vail at the beautiful Donavon’s Pavilion. Charles and Melanie wanted a winter wedding and they definitely got it with the cold and the snow. It was fun working with this couple; they weren’t traditional at all from the bride’s silver, sparkly shoes to the outside dark family photos with special lighting. The girls all carried bouquets of feathers and the whole wedding was designed with branches, special lighting and crystal beads.
Its a new year and we have received a lot of emails asking where we would be teaching this year. We will be teaching a image critique for Mile High Photographers that will be announced soon. This will only be a limited engagement so we decided to offer private Woodshops for those that would like more instruction. It will be two full days with both Angie and I in our new studio. Many couples get married in the mountains here in Colorado, and if you have ever been here you know why! We have many small towns scattered throughout our mountains and more than half of our weddings every year are in one of those towns!
Marcus and Paige were married in Vail on a beautiful fall day with all of their family and friends. The whole group had spent the week together rafting, hiking and hanging out before the wedding. They had rented several houses near each other and so it was fun for us to see the two families mixed together having fun! Because Marcus and Paige spend most of their time outdoors in the mountains this was a perfect setting and place for them to start their married life together! They were married at the bottom of the mountain in Vail but told us from the beginning they wanted to spend the first part of their day at the top! So after some getting ready at the houses the 4 of us made our way up the gondola play around and take pictures amongst the views, trees and Here are some of our favorites from their wedding day!
Marcus and Paige had a beautiful wedding up in Vail at Donavan’s Pavilion and topped the whole thing off with an elegant reception dancing the night away. All of the wedding details were perfect throughout the day and of course the reception was no exception! Each of the tables had tall vases full of yellow orchids, river rocks and a candle to set the mood. The chair were covered in black and were tied with cream colored fabric and little flowers.
At the front of the room they had a giant table framed with curtains and full of flowers and layers of giant cupcakes. Each cupcake decorated with little frosting peaks in a variety of colors and flavors.
It was such a beautiful wedding up in Vail and we are so excited to share it!
