Well the votes are in as you can see below. I am surprised that only one photographer voted correctly. The shot has some fill flash added to help brake up the shadows and give detail to the jacket and ground. The main light was the sun which you can even see in the reflection above the door.
Correct answer is: Available Light and Strobe
Working on weddings this weekend I came across this image from a wedding in Vail, Colorado. It shows the excitement and happiness from the grooms perspective. The women doing the ceremony to his right is the brides mother. You can see her genuine excitement as well. Getting images like this at every single wedding are what we strive for. Real, Raw, beautiful images.
If you like this post here are few suggestions for others:
Until we get caught up it is much easier to just post a few single images for everyone to see. This picture was taken at the top of Vail mountain. The wedding and reception was at Donovan Pavillion in Vail. I just love the romantic nature of this shot with Paige and Marcus dancing as a huge storm was building behind us. Of course we will be posting more images from this wedding so hopefully you can’t wait. The good news is we have lots of material for the winter with over 20 weddings still not blogged.
