Taking the pictures of the rings is a lot of fun. It gives us a chance to bring in colors from the wedding, put items that will remind you of where you got married. Strong bold colors really go well with beautiful wedding rings.
Photographers have known for generations that hand placement in a photograph can tell a lot about a relationship. It’s part of body language. We even use hand placement in a photograph to help us give a score in photographic competitions. It shows connection. Without seeing the bride and groom in this image you get a sense of the moment they are having.
This weekend we enjoyed the beautiful weather here in Colorado. We got to shoot an amazing engagement session. We talk about this a lot, but being a photographers has helped us to stop and enjoy the little things in life. We all hear people say this “stop and smell the roses”. It’s important that we do it.
