Here are the second set of photos we wanted to share from our fabulous destination wedding in Philadelphia with Bobby & Kendra. They had their ceremony at Old St. Joseph’s Church which is the oldest Catholic Church in Philadelphia’s history. It was only a few blocks away from the Omni Hotel where they had their reception so most of their guests walked. Kendra did a great job of coordinating her colors (black, hot pink, white) and all of the details. Their reception was on the second level at this beautiful hotel with big windows overlooking the old buildings and streets. It was beautiful, elegant and lots of fun at the same time! Thank you Bobby & kendra for bringing us to Philadelphia and letting us be a part of your wedding day!
When we first met Bobby & Kendra we knew we were going to have a great time working with them! We did their engagement session here in downtown Denver and followed it up with a custom “save the date” card for their destination wedding in Philadelphia. After that Angie and I couldn’t wait to get to Philadelphia for their wedding. Kendra did a great job with all of the plans including the rehearsal dinner on an old boat in Penn’s Landing called The Moshulu. They have such a nice fun family they invited us to join them for dinner that night and of course we took plenty of pictures while we were there with the beautiful Philadelphia skyline in the background. Their wedding was the next day and it was a gorgeous hot day. Here are some of our favorites from that day; I will post another set soon!
I was excited when we got this new design up. I new it had a vibrant and fun look that goes well with our personalities and wedding imagery. I had no idea that we would have so much traffic though. We might have had 25,000 visits in the first year of the blog. Thank you to everyone who stops by frequently and says hello. Stay tuned wedding season starts next weekend with a highly anticipated wedding of Kelsey and Brandon.
Thank you,
Andy and Angie Wood
WPPI was even better this year. They just keep improving. I wanted to share the results of the print competition with all of you. We came home with 12 awards that we know of for a total of 36 in the last three years. We will get the official results in a few weeks. Last year we had 2 that didn’t get hung but got awards, we can only hope we missed a few:) For the non photography folks, this print competition is like the world series. We are not just competing against the best photographers in the United States but against the best from around the world. Getting these awards is extremely difficult and takes many years, and careers to get just one.
I want to thank all of our wonderful clients this year for trusting us to create that special portrait for them. Without all of you none of these portraits would have been possible. Your lives and stories inspire us each and every day.
